Are you a farmer, shearer, farm vet, fibre enthusiast, knitter, maker, textile or clothing business? Do you want to see more local fibre products and a sustainable local economy for Vancouver and Gulf Islanders?  We need you to join us to help make this happen. Scroll down to the Sign Up Form and become a member.

You can join in one of the two ways OR both ways:

1 – Become a Member

Membership means that you are a supporter and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for that. Membership includes reduced pricing for Vancouver Island Fibreshed events and opportunities to strut your stuff.

2 – Join the Producers Directory

Please note that you don’t have to be a member to participate in the Directory. We wish you would but we don’t want to miss having you if you prefer not to sign up at this point.

Membership

Members can send us written articles and photos on topics related to living, farming, making, and being in our fibreshed.  We will consider them for our Blog, Facebook page, Newsletter, or Instagram page.

Members receive a supporter logo to display on their websites/sales booths. Send us a logo if you have signed up for a paid membership and we will splash it all over our media.

Membership runs on an annual basis, from January to December each year. We offer a sliding scale, suggesting $25/year or more as you are able and see value in our advocacy work to support a local textile economy.

Fill out this form to become a member:

To complete the process please send an e-transfer to info@vancouverislandfibreshed.ca or send a cheque to Vancouver Island Fibreshed, c/o The Spool, 420 Fitzgerald Ave #4, Courtenay, BC V9N 1M2

If you are a Vancouver Island or Gulf Island farmer or artisan wanting to let people know that your work supports regional agriculture, a local and fair economy, and ecological balance, consider becoming a member of the Vancouver Island Fibreshed Producers Program. Click here to see the directory. If you would like to be listed (currently a free service), please fill out the form at: Producer Signup JotForm. Our listings celebrate the diversity of local fibres and dyes available in our region. Artisans/Makers use local fibres in most of their products.
