F.Renée Fibreart

Fibre artist- writer Francine Renée creates one of a kind handwoven tapestries and textiles. Each piece is consciously designed to minimize waste and to showcase the fibre in the most flattering way. Francine is passionate about her connection to nature and the region that she works in. Vancouver Island’s grand landscape has a way of influencing her work in the union of place and process. When possible, all fibres are hand processed by the artist, locally sourced or thrifted. And any art containing natural fibres (driftwood, grasses, shells, stones) from the land have been respectfully gathered.

The intention of Francine’s work is to create a moment of contemplation through the joining of fibre and mind.
